about

This is the first vinyl release by Tiny Little Help, to launch our label, Rickety Records. We started out in Pittsburgh in 1990, moved to Albuquerque in 92-93 and recorded and released this in 1994. It opens with a 9=minute boombox recording, and the rest of it is recorded on a 4-track Tascam cassette recorder. The master tape has been lost. These files have been digitized from a virgin copy, but do contain a good deal of surface noise. The folks at Dixie Records, in Nashville, when we sent the first shipment back due to unacceptable quality, said, "Well, the recording doesn't sound good, anyway." We told them we were aware of the recording quality, but that didn't mean we had to accept records that were warped like Pringles and pitted with air bubbles. The 2nd shipment wasn't warped and pitted, and this is what they sound like, right out of the box.
